Early each morning and until the last subcontractor leaves, you’ll find Spencer out in the field with a hardhat and a smile. He is fully committed to ensuring his projects are safe, organized, expertly crafted, and delivered on time and on budget. As a fourth-generation owner, Spencer is unique in finding his greatest satisfaction on-site, immersed in the work, managing multiple jobs and phases as both Master Carpenter and Site Supervisor. His lifelong passion for carpentry shines through in his top-notch craftsmanship, a legacy that would surely make his great-grandfather Efraim proud.

Spencer’s active presence on job sites as an Owner brings a distinct advantage: each project not only meets but often surpasses the highest standards of quality and efficiency, valued equally by clients and inspectors alike. His dedication and work ethic inspire a culture of pride and accountability among field personnel, fostering swift decision-making and seamless problem-solving. With every detail under his watchful eye, he ensures that each project reflects the craftsmanship and integrity of the Efraim Carlson name.

Spencer’s journey began in childhood, visiting job sites with his dad—a formative experience that sparked his enduring passion for the trade. He officially joined the firm in 2006, following in the footsteps of his family’s legacy. He takes immense pride in his work, especially the fine craftsmanship required to bring complex projects to life. His greatest satisfaction comes from seeing a project completed with all its intricate details seamlessly woven into the client’s vision.

Outside of work, Spencer is known as the “fun uncle” to his brother Matt’s two boys. He spends cherished time with family on the lake and enjoys a variety of hobbies, including hockey, volleyball, water skiing, and snowboarding.
